Waiting for Rain

Waiting for Rain is inspired by time spent in Morocco. When I visited in 2024 the area we stayed in hadn’t seen rain for five years. We learnt that the trees can remain dormant for years and yet they will produce again when the rain falls. A mixed-media layered approach tells the story of the Moroccan trees, while also incorporating colours and patterns found in the area.
