Come and learn with me in my studio. I offer 1-to-1 or 2-to-1 (so you can bring a friend) workshops on gel printing and collage making, from beginners to advanced. I tailor bespoke sessions to your requirements and interests. Email me if you are interested in booking now!

My studio space is small, therefore I am only able to provide workshops for up to two people at a time. The advantage of this is that I can tailor the workshop content to accommodate your interests. My gel printing workshops are not the same as anyone else’s!
A two-hour workshop costs £50 per person.

Workshop content
Gel Printing Basics
All you need to know to get you started! This workshop assumes no prior knowledge of gel printing or any other form of printing, we can start from scratch and go at your speed. Learn about the gel printing plate, papers, colour and paints. You will create a concertina booklet of botanical or patterned prints to take home.
Gel Printing Layers
The perfect follow-on from the basics workshop. Here we can delve deeper into your interests, specifically looking at creating layered prints, whether your aim is to make finished pieces of art or interesting collage papers.
Gel Printing Advanced
In this session we look such techniques as gel plate image transfers and other resits, faux chine collé, soft pastel / charcoal transfer, depending on your interests. Note it is not possible to cover ALL techniques in a single workshop - I will contact you in advance in order to create your bespoke workshop.
Gel Printing and Collage
If you are interested in collage, I can create a more specific collage-based workshop just for you, we might use the gel plate and other techniques to create a set of papers and make collages. Please contact me to discuss your interests.
Workshops FAQ

The workshop takes place in my home studio in Wootton, Northampton. Address and directions provided with booking confirmation.

All materials are included.
We will use a 6” square gel plate. You are welcome to bring your own gel plate or other resources (e.g. paper to print on or magazines for image transfer) if you wish, but this is not a requirement.
You will take home anything you make in the workshop.

Some materials and processes are messy. While aprons are available for your use, it is recommended to wear old clothes.

It is possible to change the workshop date by contacting me in advance of the booked workshop. If a mutually-acceptable day and time cannot be found then you will receive a full refund.

Yes, you may cancel a booking and receive a refund if you contact me in advance of the workshop.

If non-attendance on the day is outside of your control you must contact me as soon as possible to re-schedule your booking. If a mutually-suitable date cannot be found then you will be provided with a refund.
If you do not attend a booked workshop and fail to contact me at the time, but remember later, then I will do my best to reschedule for you. Refunds are at my discretion in these circumstances.
Unfortunately, if you arrive late for the workshop I may not be able to accommodate a later finish time.
If you are no longer able to attend at the agreed date and time, please contact me at the earliest available opportunity.

If I need to change the date of a workshop I will inform you as soon as possible. I will either reschedule your booking or provide a full refund and discuss these options with you.

One child aged 10+ can attend a workshop accompanied by a fully-paying adult. A booking for a child costs the same as for an adult.

There is a small step to access the studio. The toilet is very small and therefore not fully accessible. Please contact me to discuss any accessibility requirements. I will do my best to accommodate you.
